Stephen Pyle

Stephen Pyle has served at ´óÏó´«Ã½ for over 30 years. He has held several faculty and administrative positions across multiple colleges, modalities, and campus locations. Prior to ´óÏó´«Ã½, Professor Pyle held a variety of management positions in the hospitality, special event, and outdoor recreation industries. In addition to cycling cross country, he has also thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail.
Pyle currently serves as Associate Dean of the College of Business.

Scholarly Interests
Dr. Pyle's passion is the role of the department chair in higher education. He has presented and published on a wide variety of topics. These include the development and application of chair competencies, chair creativity, leadership transition, models for hiring and the chair role in managing curriculum effectiveness across multi-campus, multi-modal systems
